Which, on another note, the way the secret boss is accessed very much implies there would be more, but there aren't. the secret boss in particular is extremely bad about this, to where I'm not even sure its possible to get through it without getting hit. your movement is also limited, since this is more of a sidescroller (so to speak) than enter was, and some bullet patterns just don't seem designed for the game's setup. That is a big problem, though in some instances it's nigh impossible to dodge the projectiles with how many certain bosses spawn and how fast some of them move. I like the little powerups feature, too- it can give me an unexpected edge when i'm having a hard time. There's a lot less enemy variety, but given the game doesn't give you a ton of runaround space, i think this works fine, although i can only think of one or two enemies that're unique to exit and don't appear in enter. i found that if you're careful, generally each level can be beaten in around 2 minutes, so one run through could take roughly 8-10 minutes, and it allows you to take a breather in bellos's shop, so you can pause in a safe place whenever. it's also a much shorter experience, so it's good for when you want them gungeon vibes but don't have the time to play enter. there's different paths for each character, and theyre generally all different from one another, with a few exceptions as some levels operate similarly to others. While the game isn't procedurally generated like enter is, it definitely makes up for that in the level designs it offers. i found that it also made me way better at enter than before i got the game, as there's a lot more projectiles to dodge. exit is a much easier game overall than enter, and i was able to beat the final boss within a couple days. The switching gun, while difficult at first to get used to, is a fun little balance for the decrease in difficulty. i'm getting to a point where this may be the first steam game i finish, although there are a few problems. ![]() While definitely a massive departure from the original game, i found exit the gungeon to be a very fun game.
